friday prayer

it's friday today.

there are a few rare and precious moments, it is said, when God briefly opens the gates of the seven heavens for an earnest prayer to come through. one of those moments is during the friday prayer, when the khatib pauses, for the length of surah al-ahad, between the first and second khutbah.

ain once told me that there's a little prayer that, when recited, would *hopefully* bring the mind of your beloved to remember you. it's the last verse of al-'imran, and everytime i get to those precious moments, and after my every solat too, i will hold my hands towards heavens and quietly whisper the prayer-verse, and with all of my heart i prayed that God grants good care and good life for ain and ila, the two souls whom i've loved so dearly and mortally. and that may they remember me in their own quiet moments, and that they may forgive me, especially ila, for she abhors me so.

*sigh*

amen.
